Eggs on my flyline, what are they?

I keep a rod strung up on hooks under the roof on my patio. Twice now, I have found a mass of eggs attached to my leader. They are firmly attached but come off with my thumbnail. Any idea what they are?

I’ve had eggs like that on my grape vines. Turned out, in my case, they were stink bug eggs.

We have wild Concord grape vines, maybe that's it.

Interesting, I assume they some kind of insect ova, but you already knew that.

If you don't scrape them off you might be able to find out what they are!
