Tying request: an idea I have for coho flies

Hi everyone! So as some of you know, I love fishing, I love fly fishing, but fly tying is a completely separate world for me and one I don't enjoy even a little bit. But I've had an idea for a coho fly I want to try this year in one of my favorite spots.

It'd be based on the twitching jig style -

- something with a relatively heavy head but still castable. Might employ a 10-11wt to get it done.
- Probably deer hair or synthetic body as bunny would probably add too much mass

I'm not volunteering, but I think some more information would be helpful for anyone considering this:
  • Hook size, style, shank length, etc?
  • Overall size of the fly?
  • Do you have any existing patterns style/examples in mind? (Though obviously with rattles) Say, a half & half or a deceiver or a clouser or one of Clarkman's massive tiger muskie flies? Or is the just intended to be a simple jig?

I tie fly twitching jigs for salmon with pretty good success. I buy 1/32ndoz jigs and can fish them with a 6wt single hand or cast them a mile with a skagit head on my 2 hander. Twitched during the swing or hard stripped/lift to drop when stripping, they absolutely slap.

I keep them stupid simple with a bit of flash and a couple turns of marabou, sometimes some rubber legs. Is there a reason you want deer hair specifically?

The rattles are a really cool idea.

Not offering to tie, but interested in seeing where this goes!
 
As far as the details: I was going to discuss those with whoever decided they wanted to help, if anyone. I'd probably only need a couple, so it's not a huge commitment.

As far as the rattles: This is the key here. The fish I'm after are very comfortable, and standard fly presentations or jig twitching doesn't work. Not even a little bit. Spinners barely even work. The only thing I have consistent success with are Brad's Wiggler plugs casted and retrieved. I have a friend who fishes a similar, but different spot and he started putting rattles on his jigs which upped his success, so it's something I wanted to try.

@Pink Nighty - the deer hair was just an example as an alternative to bunny strips. I just want something easy to cast, and bunny ain't it.

I’ll have to try some rattles now. I’ll tie you some Evan, I’m about to start tying twitching jigs for my father in law anyways. I tie some out of bucktail for him and they are super deadly. Very underrated twitching jig material.
 
A smallish hoochie, a rattle and a heavy head would probably be great...though probably not actually a fly.

I wouldn't turn it down! @adamcu280 is going to tie me a couple too, so don't make me a priority.
 
I suppose that's true...
I have cast 'flys' that were a hook, a split shot and a hoochie before with good results in rivers.
It felt like cheating it was so easy...but never added a rattle.
