I had another photo session with my son today on a my latest fish and he amazes me with his talent and knowledge. He has a fantastic eye to get just the perfect shot. I am really proud of him, He excels at sports photography, and is a leading photographer for senior photos.

I'll chime in again. "Table top photography" is a very specialized "branch" of photography. I use to use a 4x5 "view camera" with as many as five "lights". This is far different from portraiture, nature and especially wedding photography. If you can take a better photo of a cold can of Coke...you get paid very well. That being said.. most artists need images of their artwork in order to effectively market them. But they get sticker shock from professional table top photographers. Having a son that can do this caliber of photo work..compliments your art immensely .....I like that.

They just cancelled the fish carving division, not the entire wildfowl competition. It's an amazing display of wood carving talent.

I wonder what their reason was for canceling just the fish carving? Are there enough entries?

One guy close to the Ward competition thought that they were maybe trying to "streamline" things. Maybe not enough staff? He mentioned that they said there might be a possibility for '26, but I doubt that, since it might interfere with "Worlds", which is every even year.
