NFR How much effort to put into a used vehicle before selling?

Any truck, particularly a Ranger, will find a home. I sold an '85 150 in B'ham and a couple of the callers got mad when it went before they could get over to see it. Years later I gave my '97 Ranger to my brother who drove the wheels off it as a band rig. The transmission was foil when he finally offloaded it. The buyer couldn't care less, he did the work himself and had solid Ranger for dirt cheap, all in.

Considering the cost of a new rig, there will always be guys out there looking for stuff in just about any condition. I'd think Josh's truck will get a lot of hits.
 
He'd probably sell it with a half ass listing on this site

I'd kinda like to see clean oil, or at least not have to change oil right off. I save receipts for major work, but not routine oil changes. But kind of as a reminder for myself, I do log oil & filter (+air filter) changes in Excel I can print out that shows dates - how often I check, miles between each change, avg miles between changes, and avg miles per month over the time I've owned the cars.

One of the first things many buyers take note of is the tires. Replacing tires can usually add another grand to the price so poor tires represent a real negotiating point. But replacing them with cheap assed Walmart tires is almost as bad as the original baldies....

I see fresh oil in a used car and my first thought is " what are they trying to hide"
