Nymph boxes

I need a new fly box for storing nymphs only. What are you guys liking for beadhead nymphs these days? Thanks in advance.

I have an old swing leaf C and F...
Holds more than I can use, takes a while to fill it up.

I really like the tacky original or 2x original for my nymphs.

I went with the orvis slim boxes. They are cheap. Thin too, so easy enough to carry one for each bead size or say split a box between bead sizes (if you go tungsten bead). I like them better than tacky boxes cause I can also stab some flies in the foam cause I’ll always try to add more flies in there. Certainly don’t have the longevity that a tacky does but cheap and effective.

With the thin nymph hooks, the slotted foam can wear out so I try to go cheap and replace when the flies start falling out (or glue in new foam)

The tacky 2x looks good. Is the magnetic closure trustworthy?

I have some cheap swing leaf boxes for lakes and the smaller tungsten flies like chironomids wiggle out of the slotted foam a lot. The tacky boxes seem legit.

I like Tacky, and I haven't had issues with the magnets. If you drop the box, it's likely the box will open, but the silicon is fairly grippy. I also like Cliff Days Worth, because it has a magnetic back for the smaller flies. Though the foam in the Cliff Box does allow flies to slip out once in a while.

I feel pretty secure with it, granted, I havent dropped it.

I use the regular Tacky boxes. I have a 2x, but hate it for two reasons:

1. I can’t see what’s inside (or the state of what’s inside).
2. Larger nymphs rub against the other side and dislodge them or just generally mess them up.

If I still have it, you can have it if you want. I’m in the Sammamish area.

The Tacky boxes are great. If you want to save a few bucks, the Lost Creek Silicon Slim Fly Box at Sportsmans is pretty decent (and I'm sure this box is sold under a bunch of other generic brands).
My slim box for stones above is that lost creek brand. I like it. The tacky are pretty good too, I keep red bead lake flies in mine. This Tacky box is not quite as secure at holding flies as the others, that's why it's not holding other flies for stream use in a vest pocket anymore.

That’s a very valid point. I think I’ll go with two of the regular version. One for stones and the other for… the others. Thanks for the offer, that’s very generous.

Lost creek might be the ticket.

Tom, that’s an older tacky box. So much better now.

Thx. Good to know. A latch is secure but the magnets are easier. I think if I drop either there's a good chance of trouble.

I've been happy with Flambeau slim boxes with flat foam, for both nymphs, wets, and small streamers.
They are really tough. I like how they easily fit in my vest or wader pockets. I also really like how flat foam lets me choose where to put my flies, and how many rows of flies I want. Those boxes with slits (foam or silicone) are not my cuppa tea. I don't like how you have to insert flies tail-first, which tends to mash the tails (at least for me). I also dislike how their row spacing is either too close or too far apart for different sized flies. Flat foam lets me fit in more flies, with the spacing of my choosing.
One time, years ago, I found one of those slim Flambeau boxes that didn't have any foam. They were in a hardware store, and labelled for storing small tools or something. I glued foam into each side, making a double-sided fly box. I had to use thin foam to allow space for nymphs in each side, and only small nymphs at that.
