Went bassin again with @jasmillo this morning, got into 2 good fish early on then a slow spell in between. Rain storm kicked up which seem to get the fish going and we got into good fish each at a dock stretch that have always produced medium fish before.

This was the hot fly until it got snagged on a underwater stump, then big heavy clousers carried through.

I have been fishing forever and never really targeted bass until the last couple of years. Even now, it’s only a handful of times per year because of all the options we have here in WA. I don’t know. Maybe a big mistake! Tiger Musky was the original target at this lake but the bass fishing is so much fun.

We did see a TM today that made me nearly shit a brick. What a beast of a fish. Fishing a drop off, I ran the boat with the trolling motor over a monster sitting on top of some underwater grass. I really want to hook into one of those.

That said…I am 100% content with smallies like this.

Nice bass’n! SMB are fun as heck and fight hard. Large mouth are lethargic in comparison though they also get fatter and easier to catch. I have respect for the smallies.
