We have been "interviewing" a few rescue dogs over the past weeks. One really nice dog wasn't right for us but might be perfect for someone else. Picket, a Shepard cattle dog mix, is exceptionally well-trained. She knows about 10 commands (including a bombproof recall, heel like glue off your left side, "home" to stand between your legs, and "close the door") and is extremely smart, poised, and task oriented. She was raised from a puppy by a couple who love her but recently had a baby, and Picket is jealous of the baby. Can't have that and the couple wants a good home for her (the dog that is). I like Picket a lot but she was not cuddly enough for my wife. This dog is all business and wants to work and show what she knows. If anyone wants to know more about Picket, send me a PM and I'll put you in touch with the owners in Leavenworth.
