Where to stay in Fiji?

I have a 4 day stopover in Fiji on my way to NZ, and am looking for recommendations as to where to hang my hat for a few days that has access to some flats. There is not too much info on the web, as most folks are headed to Christmas Island. Flying into Nadi.

We were sailing so I don't know about the fishing, but the Royal Suva Yacht club has a prime little cabana right on their beautiful property a few steps from the tiki bar.

I didn’t spend much time in Nadi…just an overnight since we were going to Laucala Island…great diving, also did some light tackle trolling with spinning rods and plugs (this was pre fly fishing days)

My son was at Beqa a couple years ago. At the Beqa Lagoon Resort, I believe.

He and his wife got "stuck " there quarantining with Covid. He recuperated by wade fishing for jacks.
