How do you shuttle?Interesting enough, I spend more time wade fishing as my list of partners who are good on the sticks is short.
I also take the Striker out a lot for solo float/wade sessions.

I like projects, although some times it takes me years to finish themI’ve spent countless hours teaching others how to row. At the moment, I’m not really looking for another project.
my guess is he puts on his best puffy & hitch hikesHow do you shuttle?
that's why before I sold my drift boat I bought a electric motor that had 6 speeds in reverse & 6 forward made frog water rowing a thing of the past . I could evenpull plugs with itRowing driftboats down a river is easy. Putting an angler constantly in the best position for 8 hours more or less straight isn't quite so easy.
Nobody fishes there any more, it’s too crowded,LOLSpeaking of...

Return on your investment, that sounds like a capitalist statement, I have invested lots of time on stuff without any return for my efforts. The only return I will get is , On my death bed I will receive total enlightenment,So I got that going for me !I'm to the point that if I can get a return on my investment, I'm willing to put in the time. That usually means the other person has purchased a boat so I know they are committed.
I've had some frightening and frustrating days teaching others to row. It is not fun for me and I'm over it.
No bear encounters, at least not while fishing. I did have an encounter with a bull moose in AK while fishing a creek for kings, he stepped into the river about a cast away from me. They are LARGE animals, I high booted it up the bank in a hurry!Yeah Rob get that! Was hoping for griz fishing stories. I have only had black bear interactions while fishing the coast. Ironically it was fall sea run fishing on the Bear River inland out of Chinook. I do not normally speak of where online but in this case Weyerhaeuser- yet another gated closure. Apparently memberships are sold through the gated access. It was my favorite fall fishery for 30 years. Oh well . As far as my bear interaction I did some stupid things that in the end worked out like a standing bear about 250 lbs standing 15 feet away in the brush sniffing with interest at the nice 18” cut I had just landed. My dog was timid and huddled at my feet and in that split secong i fumbled carefully and found a firm clod od clay and chucked it hitting said bear. In the belly with a hollow thud.. it dropped down and canonballed away… the next few seconds were spent muttering Oh shit … and “ you dumb arse”
It took a solid summer for my wife to get comfortable on the sticks. Had Adipose put on a Teflon coating after that summer. Most of my friends can’t row nor willing to learn. That’s why I bought a small outboard and casting platforms for my Adipose. Planning on targeting gulpers & Carp this summer.
Towards the end I had to put the phone away in exchange for my Glock 20. The look on my wife’s face was priceless. I’m more worried about moose then bears.

I was truly scared was when I inadvertently got between a cow moose and her calf, and they were between me and my truck. I nervously (and quickly) "fished" quite a ways down river before hopping on to the road and taking a quick stroll back to my truck.

Luckily you didn't taste any moose knuckles that day!Not a good feeling at all. Stepped up on the bank planning to call it a morning. Instantly to my right in the trees and bushes I heard a large creature moving that I had clearly startled. Looked up to my left and there they were. Apparently it wasn’t quite time for me to leave, back in the creek I went.

While there is lots of that kind of opportunity. I just point out that with some modifications to your day you can fish the big name blue ribbon waters and have great fishing in solitude even during the peak of the season.
