Rain

Water rose above the permanently fixed portion of the dock.
Water is a lot closer to our home.
There are fisherman and then there are avid fisherman.

My neighbor caught at least 4 fish in the 5 minutes I was watching this afternoon.
Time to go fishing

The Livingston looks a bit short on freeboard.
Hopefully the water goes down enough you can bail it out before the next system hits on Saturday.

That is my rain guage. Will need to bail it out so I can measure the amount of the next atmospheric river...

Just replaced my weather station since the old one died, even after changing out with fresh batteries. This one, the inside is illuminated with a plug in for electric and batterie back up. Another AcuRite with rain gauge and wind speed direction for the new features. Ready for the next storm! Stay safe!

As of this morning, we have 12.98" of precip for the event on the Oregon Coast. There's been some flooding up around Tillamook and also along the Siletz but all in all, not too bad. Devils Lake where we are is higher than our long time resident neighbors can recall and has flooded out many lake front yards, docks and boat houses. The lake has been slowly receding the past few days but the next round on Saturday and Saturday night might make things interesting.

Damn, that is a lot of liquid. Glad your place is ok.
Looks like once we get through Sunday things will dry out a bit. I saw some pictures of areas around Puget Sound and it looked like coffee with creamer. Hopefully with some better tidal movement that will clear up by next weekend.

Watching the rain gauge. Never got out of the fog today, but hauling the grandkids to Sandy this morning, saw an awesome sunrise.

Been looking on the NOAA website (https://forecast.weather.gov/) and I do not see an atmospheric river coming to Washington for the remainder of this year. Am I missing something or going to the wrong site?
