I like the idea of the foam. Having struggled to get shrimp patterns to keel right, how well does the foam overcome the shank's tendency to flip the hook point-up?

A few “squimps” from the bonefish box - basically the same fly in weightless, lightweight and heavy version. I like having the weight near the bend of the hook because it not only makes the fly keel properly, but it also makes it kick to the side a bit with a short fast strip, something like a “walk the dog” action on a jerk bait.

I enjoyed this video, so I tied up some slo mo style shrimp flies. Still working on getting them the way I want, but this one accounted for a few fish in the rain last weekend. Fished fairly slow on an intermediate line.
