NFR NFL 2023 Season

I am fairly sure that the Hawks would get a compensatory pick for Williams if they do not sign him. Internet scuttlebutt says 3rd or 4th round most likely. Though do keep in mind that those picks come at the very end of the round after all other picks have been made.
Perfect. Where hawks draft best

This is a move to win it all. And they have all the tools. Will they have all the tools in December/January is the question? Getting roughhouse kick your ass Lucas back at RT will be big. You have four or five great recieviers and three multi talented TEs. You got the rbs. You have the O’ line ;if healthy) You got the D too. They bought the Williams kid from Giants to come in to disrupt. They don’t necessarily want stats they want him to disrupt and give others the D’ stats. At 6’5 and 305 he’ll contribute in a positive way. As always it will come down to qb decisions but I have great faith in Geno. ( it’s reminiscent of Jim Plunkett’s revival career)

Believe me Geno is a decent top tier QB Maybe not top 8 or so but can argue for anything after that 12 and less. And you can win the whole thing with that !!!

If Pete and the Seahawks win the Super Bowl, I will buy and send a case of chewing gum to him. Does anyone know what flavor Pete likes? LOL!
Yeah it’s champagne flavor… but never tried it. Never been worthy. Matter of fact not sure you can buy if a doubter 😆

Crow flavor

Anyone have insight into Rashaad Penny’s role with Philadelphia? I just checked his season stats…3 carries for 9 yards in a game in September? Are they just that set at RB?

He's been a healthy scratch most the season. My guess is they're worried about his durability and stashing him for post season.

As everybody says Purdy sucks(he doesn't) its nice watching JG flail. Cramps after being out a few weeks with a back issue? Classic. Just tells me he was out at the clubs instead of taking care of his body....

I think so too, provided that they don't sign a similar FA who was not cut.
It really changes what they actually have given up.
It may end up being Williams and a 3rd for a 2nd and 5th. Seatle won't likely be picking anywhere early in the 2nd.
Seattle is a well run franchise.

Jimmy Glass was pressured on ~70% of snaps tonight. The most QB pressure in a game in the past 5 seasons. Tough way to return from a back injury.

Lions have the #2 spot in the NFC now, although it is way to early to think about playoff position.

Unless your talking about the Rams who won't be making the playoffs...

This goes back in to the point I've been making about Geno - O-line play has been on decline around the league for a while now, and I think we're starting to hit a tipping point. Not only is NCAA ball not preparing O-line for the pros, the big guys who are the better athletes are becoming defensive linemen because that's where the money is. So now we have a situation where d-lines are massively outperforming o-lines.

The results are as you see this year: QBs are constantly under pressure, making poor decisions, bad throws, and running for their lives.

Also, #2 seed - Lions are 6-2, Seahawks are 5-2 because of the bye. Seahawks beat the Lions already. So it's really just a technicality because of the bye week schedule.

Interesting
I’m going to pay closer attention to this
If you’re correct look for a rule change
The NFL will go to great lengths to protect the QB/Offense
Always have

Evan I think there is some validity in your statement. I also think the high school and college O’s going to what I call the RPQRO offense is changing the dynamics of several positions. Pocket pass plays and true PAP are diminishing in the high school and college game.
The RPQRO eludes to run or pass or Qb run O’. You have many schools were the leading rusher or 2nd leading rusher is the QB. Which was practically unheard of 20 years ago except for a few select schools. That type of O’ is not viable in the NFL. Anthony Richardson is a beast of a physical specimen but he didn’t last 6 games in the NFL. So as Dr. Magill points out the NFL will adjust to protect the trigger money man. Ebbs and flows. The college game moves up and into the nfl but the nfl game can also work it’s way down into the college game and top tier kids will go to the school that will teach and prepare them for Sunday game day, whatever style that is at the time.

Kids are getting full rides to D1 schools just for long snapping… it is a position. The game is always changing. Bring the FullBack back!!! 😉

Yeah it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

As to your QB rusher point: Lamar Jackson has been holding it together reasonably well. He's basically a running back who can make some good throws.

And he is usually pretty dinged up at the end of the season…
