Nah. Surprisingly my cars haven't suffered from rust issues here even with the acid rain and algae issues. Maybe back in the 80's and earlier it was an issue, but I think the manufacturers have done a fair job recently with regards to rust proofing.

While ski bumming in Vermont in the early 70s near the top of Pico Peak main chair a jet came over the mountain from the other side so close I reflexively ducked. He came around again on my next trip up and waved as we were on the same eye level.

When I was about 12 years old my sister had a dog named Charlie. Evidently the cute little mutt had epilepsy or something and it had "fits". One night Charlie never came home. Months later, deep in the woods I found him (million to one chance). Mostly bones, some fur and his chain collar. I brought the collar home and gave it to my sister. I think it gave her some closure.
That too. Cant seem to dodge it, can we?
I had some of the same green slime issues as a certain person here who has an infamous aged white Exploder. Griots Garage in Tacoma helped identify it as algae and we were able to use a combination of their washes and detailing products to kill it off.
Having a car made of all that zinc.? No thanks. Long term exposure to high concentrations of zinc can cause ya to lose your hair, lose your mind and make Mr. Happy a frightened little Turtle.
Which is crazy, since we need a certain amount of zinc to live.
