A number of used 2 piece rods on the big auction site. And they are always less than 4 piece rods.I don't have a lot of trust in 4-6 piece rods, what happened to 2 pieces? I have been looking on different companies websites and they seem to be rare now.

Three or four month repair time? A couple of years ago, I acquired a Redington Hydrogen 9’ 5wt that had a broken tip section. I emailed Redington about getting a replacement section. The rep told me they couldn’t replace the section, but instead, they’d replace the entire rod, no charge, “as per warranty”. All it cost me was shipping my broken rod to them. I received a new rod in about 3 weeks.I really like the CT but not a fan of Redington in general anymore. I have the 8'6" 3wt, one of my favorite lighter weight rods, but the bottom half of the cork grip is lacking glue and spinning and squeaking on the blank. Have been putting off sending it in because of the 3-4 month repair time, maybe this winter.

Things have changed, this is no longer the Redington/Sage you were accustomed to. I used to go in person and walk out with replacement tip/rod/waders. They've changed their warranty policy and also added repair/replacement costs on Redington rods based on whether or not it's a discontinued model if it's deemed non warranty issue. This one was definitely not a warranty issue so I don't have a problem spending the $95 for a replacement rod even though a few years back it would have been free. I also have a CT 8’0” 3wt 6pc. It’s the only one of my 25 or so fly rods that puts a smile on my face the whole time I use it. I’m not aware that it’s a 6 piece when I fish it. Feels like a one piece. Amazing design and build! I’d love to buy another, but haven’t found a source. Maybe discontinued?

My needs keep getting more refined.Sage along with many other USA rod manufacturers have made changes to their warranties policies. Some of that is on us.
I no longer buy new rods. Warranties changed since we bought them and we have no recourse.
I buy a rod because it fulfills needs.
I have a 7 1/2 foot St. Croix 2 piece that I haven’t used in about 8 years.Broke my 3wt and need to restock the quiver. If anyone has a decent 3wt they wouldn't mind parting with hit me up.
Ideally in the 8' range and ideally not a 2 piece.
