Mariners are on fire... Actually, 'fire' is a dirty word right now in Southern OR. The Mariners are hot... , not much better. The Mariners are la really, really good baseball team.

Gotta tip my hat to Servais. I was screaming 'get rid of Teoscar' in April and May; skipper knew better. Will I have the maturity and hind sight to shut the he!! up next spring when another M's bat is fumbling.... doubtful.

Mostly agree; I didn't see him getting the swings-and-misses on his slider like he does when he's pitching lights out. But what an upgrade from the last out. Really miss Sewald for closing and high-leverage situations, but that trade brought Rojas and Canzone who are both contributiing right now. If Munoz and Brash bring it for the rest of the season this team has a great chance of making a run in the playoffs

Got to take my brother-in-law to his first Mariners game today. We got a ball and get to see them take first place. He came over to go to the game with JT son but my son ended up getting sick last night so took my daughter along.

I have to say that I love the pitch clock and pace of the game with a pitcher like Castillo on the mound. I don't think I could sit and watch the game with a the year old otherwise.
 
Seattle is the best team since the Allstar break. Yet, per usual, they are not getting the national attention they deserve. Actually that is good and hope they don't until it counts when they sppear and win in the playoffs..
 
Something that I read, and who knows what the impact is, certainly not me, when Gilbert throws a fastball due to his height and arm length the ball is released 1 foot closer to the plate than is typical. Batters just don't get as much time/distance to make a decision. Going to my first ever M's game this coming Wednesday and I think he is the probable starting pitcher. I will closely analyze his performance and assuredly determine if that is indeed a factor. Stay tuned.
