It's the new Tuesday.

But sometimes, Tuesday produces...

I'm a consumer whore and just ordered my first piece of throwback Seahawks merch. I really love the look.

Just curious-where do you football guys weigh in on the Sean Payton/Nathanial Hackett episode. In a world where it is increasingly rare for anyone to tell it like it is an awful lot of people have their panties in a bunch because Payton had the temerity to tell it like it is. Does the 'Code' outweigh the truth? Or are we just patty caking guys with million dollar salaries so they don't get their feelings hurt?

I've paid very little attention because there's few things I care about less in the NFL than the Broncos and Russell Wilson. But my take is these guys are probably a lot more direct with each other behind closed doors. It's just the face they put on with the media where they walk on eggshells. I doubt he said much publicly he wouldn't have already said privately.

Personally, I had no problem with it. He wasn't wrong. Not necessarily the way I would have gone about it, but I'm also not making 18 million/year to coach a game......a game......a game.

Besides, it gives people something to talk about.

Bottom line though, we're about to find out if it was primarily a Russ problem or a Hackett problem.

I’m sure their private conversations are pretty damned candid
The stakes are pretty high for these coaches.
Publicly I think Payton should check himself.

Hard to say anything else but that Hackett dd a lousy job...objectively speaking.

But yeah, the Donkeys will always suck...and "I'll always hate the Donkey".

Wonder how much Clowney has left in the tank

There's a few edge guys on that list...most will find a home by the end of the month once they realize some income is better than no income this season.
The RB's too, but thinking most of them are pretty well done.

I think Dalvin Cook has plenty of life left.

He is probably the only one, but he still wants a shitton of money.
Miami or Dallas are the rumored top choices. The Vikes wouldn't pay him at 28 years old, and they know him best...

Payton might have been right but he shouldn't have said it. Don't burn bridges in such a small community, plus he kind of called out the entire organization. He still has to work with a lot of those people...

I do feel bad for RBs. By the time they get past their rookie deal they are too old to get a big deal. I am excited to see what McCaffery does this year though. He could do a 1K/1K year if he stays healthy.

Yeah I kind of feel like RBs should have their own separate salary situation. They get used and abused, and never get the same pay day as the sexier positions like WR despite doing way more overall work.

How about a 6'4" 330lb guy going to the ground almost every play. They deserve better pay.

O-linemen get paid pretty well and tend to play well in to their mid 30s at least. RBs get paid scraps and are usually done and washed before 30.

RB's used to get big money, until it became clear most are washed up at 28, and had a 4 year shelf life.
That and when 6th round picks started getting 1000 yards, realization that money put into an o line and that 'some dude' can run for 8-900, and for a lot less money. Elite backs get paid a bit more, average backs do not.
