I see gun control thread drift on the horizonβ¦I mean, many of them are technically NOT allowed to. But many of them still do, just illegally. Not sure how you keep them from jumping in a friend's car to go for a joy ride like seems may have been the case here.
My wife's uncle has multiple DUIs and had his license revoked years ago plus a few stays in the county pen. He still drives around.
What do you mean, Old Folks, young man ?The issue is older folks behind the wheel with bad eyes, horrible hearing and slow reactions.
My FIL hasn't been in an accident in decades, but he has caused quite a few......and cluelessly keeps on truckin'.

Iβve thought about adding a strobe type brake light that could be hung on the transom of my boat - I doubt it would have any benefit to half the drivers who seem to be more focused on their phones than driving.Lucky, he had the boat cover on at the time of accident, because it might have rained or something.
I've been rear ended while waiting at stop lights four times in my life, three of those were by women driving Camry's (What are the chances of that coincidence.) So, my concern for an accident like the one in photo exists, I don't dwell on it, but it's real.
This is a shot of my rig a few years ago on the way home from ID to CA. There's a whole lot of boat butt sticking out there, that would be easy for someone not paying attention to drive up under. Thought at times of hanging a red flag off of the anchor boom or even a third stop lamp.Might need to rethink it.

β¦and a pinball wizard too.Yeah, right-pile on us old folks.I got new eyes last year and can see like a 20 year old, my hearing has changed very little in the past 60 years and my reflexes are similar to the average 40 year old and better than anyone that has had a couple of drinks. I'll be 85 this month and think us oldies get a bad rap. You can be blind, deaf and dumb at any age.
Assuming the Versa has COLLISION COVERAGE, it covers any property damage for the plaintiff. It would be up to the claims rep and the Versaβs insurance company to reimburse for βLoss of Useβ only if the trailer or boat needed repair time in a shop.Hopefully the Versaβs insurance covers the replacement of the drift boat and some compensation for fishing time lost.
As someone who's 41 and has terrible hearing, I agree.I'll be 85 this month and think us oldies get a bad rap. You can be blind, deaf and dumb at any age.
Yeah we really need to get those depends wearing, past pull date geriatric mofos off the road and back to the home where they can't cause problems...they can just eat soft foods and watch Matlock and Rockford Files till craft time comes around. The issue is older folks behind the wheel with bad eyes, horrible hearing and slow reactions.
