The day started like a lot of my adventures lately with dropping my son off at school. I would have about a 4 hour window before parent pick up and then baseball. I zipped to the pond and promptly took a photo of a launch frog. Nature is cool:
This pond I have struggled with lately. In fact I almost dropped it for a few years off my hit list. Last year I only got one but I saw a few decent fish so decided to give it another go this year. This proved to be a very good decision. On the board with a good fish:
A short while later:

At this point in the day I was feeling already pretty good as I worked into a back pond:

Boom 18-19 incher:

Then a short while later I had a blow up (fishing strict topwater) that I just straight up yelled aggggggghhhhhhhh as I set the hook because it was shockingly aggressive. A toilet bowl flushed and my popper disappeared. My ten weight was corked as I worked the fish out from cover:

A beautiful 20.5 inch 5+ pound largemouth. Now could my day get better?
A few casts later I caught a momma that was so fat she was about to pop:

And then I casted and got snagged on a Cattail. What happened next was straight out of nat geo. This giant head comes up and just delicately grabs it
I hammer it and am fast into a bigger bass. This is why I use heavy fly rods. 21 to 22 inches and over 6 pounds:

Probably will be my fish of the year:

I caught a few more and called it day. One for the books. As good as it gets.

All fish caught on this:

One of my best bass days ever. Did I say that already?

Hope all is well with everyone!
