If you’re looking for a fun family road trip this weekend the lower Lewis River along the Dike Access Road in Woodland is on fire right now.
I made a quick trip before work this morning. The smelt are in the lower Lewis. I counted over 100 bald eagles and saw a lot of sea lions. There’s also a blue heron rookery right off the road.
It’s a great local wildlife viewing road trip if you’re in the area.

Maybe use the second definition-


A bunch of white pelicans showed up there yesterday. I’ve never seen them in this part of the state before.
