I got back last week and have just now gotten around to this trip report. I traveled to the Cody area just before the Fourth of July with a buddy. We stayed with a friend in the area. Here are some photos of portions of my epic trip. We spent an entire day touring the Buffalo BIll Center of the West. We drove through Yellowstone National Park on the 4th and then that evening went to the Cody Rodeo.
That following morning we got up at 2 AM and drove down to the Casper area for a couple of days of awesome fishing.

After two days of fishing on the North Platte we headed back to the Cody area but were thwarted in our attempts by a mule deer doe that violently attacked my truck.
I had planned on fishing the Cody area for a couple of days at this point but my truck had to be towed up to Powell and the guys at Yellowstone Toyota were awesome in getting my truck limping again til I could get home for full repairs. I did not get to fish around Cody but I did get to meet up with Islander here on the forum and bought some tying materials from him that he had listed. I was also lucky that the Winchester Arms Collector Association was having their annual gun show this week and spent a day viewing some amazing rifles.
I then headed up to Belt, Mt where I attended a long range shooting course. The sunsets were awesome.
As I limped home I stopped in the Craig area and spent a half day fishing the Missouri. The fishing was slow and I caught a single brown but the views were breathtaking. Since the Yellowstone had been blown out this past spring by the floods a lot of guides have moved up to the Missouri and there were a lot of people on the river.
Although I did not get to do as much fishing as I had planned due to the destruction of my truck I still had a blast and feel very grateful for the fishing I was able to do. I am also thankful that none of us were injured during the attack on my Tacoma.
