Just an FYI. The VTR report has been updated to reflect shore based fishing. Hopefully a good number have been submitted so we can use those to help us get back some July shore based fishing opportunities.
I saw some estimates for MA 9 July coho fishing. It was over 1,700 marked coho retained, in only three days!
There is no doubt the very limited number of chinook days plays a role in those numbers, but that is a lot of marked coho that were retained.
Again, I can’t emphasize how much July resident coho beach fishing opportunity we are missing with MA 9 coho fishing only being open on chinook fishing days.
