PNW SRC rod… Winston Air2 6wt 9’6”?

I lost my favorite SRC set up (Sage X 6wt 9’6” with Airflo 40+) the other day… Over the past few years, I have been steadily navigating toward rods with stronger backbone and softer tips.

I am thinking of going with the Winston Air2 6wt 9’6”. Has anybody used this rod in the sound? I am specifically looking for thoughts on if the handle will hold up in the salt and ability to turn over some of the heavier beach lines like the 40+.

Give the 9' 6wt alpha+ a whirl. I think you'll find it does what you're looking for, even though it's only 9'. PS, I loooooove longer rods (screen name checks out), and despite that, I keep grabbing this one when I head to the PS.
