Turle? The knot is easy, getting the loop over the fly and tightened without trapping fibers is the hardest part. I use it almost every time on an up or down turned eye.

Sometimes dunking the fly in the river to wet it helps avoid trapping fibers.
Yeah, what's interesting is there are several different takes on the turle. And maybe even more on the improved or double turle.
Upon further thought, I don't tie a double turle. I tie a regular turle. However I don't even tie a regular turle. Haha!
There's a ton of different ways to tie the regular turle. Some really complicated ways. I'm guessing you may have seen that.
