Fly fisher on Vashon Island this morning. Is this anyone from PNW forum?

Thanks @swimmy . I actually wish the sun wasn’t so bright overhead. Another view with the ferry from Point Defiance. I was on the deck of the VRBO we rent often this morning. Was hoping the guy would walk in front so i could say hi and ask if he was a member here! But then he went the other way. I have never seen anyone fly fish out front in the years I’ve been on Vashon.

Also a few days ago we thought the humpback whale came out front. All of a sudden a large flock of seagulls landed on the water and there was movement. And the seals made a dash quickly near the shore where they stayed. We never saw it come up but from what i understand that is what happens when a whale goes by. We had heard there was one in the area. I’ve yet to see one though.

Got to stay for a weekend in a beachfront mansion on Vashon Island when I was a kid. They called it their 'Beach Cabin,' 3 story's of glass beachfront windows 
. It pays to work for Microsoft in the early years... Aunts sisters family. Anyways the whole time I just took my kayak out and dropped a herring on a bait hook down and yarded in dogfish after dogfish.

Anyone here ever go to Denman Island? During a meander through the PNW 40 years ago wife and I stayed there for several days at the only campsite on a trout filled micro lake...killer whales cruising by the shores, great art work covering the outer walls of the elementary school...curious if it remains idyllic, or did it suffer the typical fate..?
