Ditch Z

Decided I didn't want cold toes for the lake opener and headed out to hike a favorite ditch. It ended up being a good call

First fish of the day was a beauty but it would get better:I wasn't sure the drift I was getting with a strong upstream wind but it didn't matter:Some real chrome beauties:I brought just one fly box and only used black:This fish was so thick. 24 or 25 inch range. Close to a pb:After a mile or so of walking worked my way back and found the hottest fish of the day:Not a bad way to spend a few hours between school drop off and pick up:These non-alcoholic beers are delicious.

Damn!! Do you need a new fishing buddy? Asking for a friend..... The Athletic Brewery near beers are really good. The hazy ipa is a favorite of mine.
