There's a citizens initiative on the ballot in Denver County Colorado which puts at risk the sale of many fly tying materials (e.g. rabbit, deer, elk, any natural dubbing) and flies made from those materials. One of the initiative's supporters is quoted as saying there are plenty of synthetic fly tying alternatives. I love the irony of a save the animals vegan urging the use of more plastics.
