Seems like the major dust up was standing and lack of a specific alleged harm, which is usual. But the allegation regarded violating the state Constitution, regardless of a specific project harm to the plaintiffs. But the kids had the state dead to rights as the state passed a specific law requiring agencies to NOT analyze climate effects of proposed actions, damn clearly in violation of the Constitution. One thing that amazed me is the huge number of intervening parties, industries not just from Montana, but from all over the country. I just don't get it how people don't understand that corporate America fvcking hates environmental protection.

Saw this, thought of posting, then thought of how this will disintegrate into the inevitable s'show (hope it doesn't). Interesting decision, could have major ramifications but I suspect it could go down on appeal. We'll see.

Because they've forgotten what it was like before those protections existed. That, and we don't see the places where all the shit we buy now days is made cheaply. Like it used to be here.
