    Puget Sound

I had that hair in a tight braid to start. Didn’t realize that she had taken out until it was too late. And yes, always daddy to brush the hair. That is indeed my livewell constantly pumping fresh cold water on the fish. I turned it off for the pic. Found out later in the day that for $35 I...

2/3 from sat were in the 7 pound range. Lots of lice on the fillet board this weekend.

    Puget Sound

Imagine enjoying your solitude, when a guy rolls up with his two young kids, one yelling "I'm the flounder pounder" and the other "I'm the salmon slammer!" No fly reports for the weekend here, though I did have one on board. Saturday with the kids was pretty consistent fishing on the riggers...

    Puget Sound

Went out with my 80+ year old father for kings on the downriggers. The resident coho encountered this past weekend were still on the small end, but all of them had incredibly distended bodies, presumably full of food. I joked that once they digest all that food they'll be keepers, but until...

Boat is a new 19 Montauk. Fly rods are currently stowed in tubes and assembled on demand. I have a 5 rod rack and some starboard to fabricate gunnel (or gunwale if you're proper like @Kfish ) mount storage. The 19 fits 9' rods like a glove. Just need to find the time to fabricate, which with...

Material chinook this am on dirty gear. Maybe 6-8 pounds. Not small enough to throw back so to Home Depot for some new shelving for the rest of my day off. I plan on making a dent in this quota.

    Cabo guide recs?

Will be heading out there in Feb of next year with the fam. Looking to book a couple days on the water...roosters, dorado. Whatever can be handled with rods up to 12wt. I'd prefer panga style, but sportfisher is an option as well. Anyone have any favorites?

What have you done for your boat lately?

Sold the old, bought a new one. Paying someone else to do all the things, else it would take me 5 years to complete a chartplotter install with the help of a 3 year old.

Salmon Ella did not fare well. PECB exposure > Lethargy > Harbor seal. At least she got to taste the salt.

    What's in your vise?

After taking my kids fishing at the dock with some power bait, they've been asking me to make them some flies. The first run was a hit, and thev've been playing with them, bathing with them, taking them to school for show and tell...etc. My daughter asked for another, with color specifications...
