I have a Boost Blue in 8wt and a gifted older Winston 10wt. I much prefer casting the Boost Blue. Maybe check out the new Echo rod that Flip helped design.

That almost looks like Wetlander. I used that on my Alumaweld and loved it. Only had the boat slip off the bank and try to float away once. :)

My fiberglass drift boat has quite a few road miles this year and I've noticed significantly more wear on the bow. Do any of you do anything to recoat your bow or protect it? Do I just wait until the whole boat needs a visit to Clacka for a recoat?

We did La Paz for Thanksgiving a few years back. It was amazing and if it weren't for damn family, I'd happily do that every year.

I love my Boost Blue 8wt. It's superior to the Thomas & Thomas Solar that I broke and replaced it with (repair would have cost more than the Boost Blue and taken several months). I use it for salt & rivers and it casts a full sink with weighted flies quite well.

Are there optimum/ideal levels for floating at each station?
