My new custom Tunerfish 12wt just arrived

It is my understanding that they are going out of favor because you are taking the stiffest part of the blank out of the fight. They make it easier on you but you can't apply as much pressure on the fish.

NFR New wildfires popping up on a daily basis!

Glad we survived all the bonfires I witnessed dispersed camping last Thursday. Given the size of their campfires, I can't imagine those folks refrained from shooting fireworks on Saturday.

Fun overnighter - fishing and photography

All sinking lines. There were a lot of fish rising to midges Thursday night, but I was throwing a big streamer. Got nothing - should have tried a little bug.

    NFR Any of You Ever….

I am doing my first big road trip in 3 weeks. I was surprised to see highway 12 when I went tuna fishing out of Westport a few years ago - third trip in my van. I grew up on highway 12 in MN. I got it in my head that I would drive 12 from Westport to Litchfield, MN. As M_D suggests, my biggest...

Hilariously overpriced used item listings around the internet

We were discussing the market for these while eating lunch at the show. The number of potential clients has to be very small. Wonder how many they sell in a year? I also wonder how many of the people that own them use them to anywhere near their full potential?

Hilariously overpriced used item listings around the internet

My wife would never sleep in a tent but loves the van I built. So comfortable and easy to use (the only setup ever is leveling blocks) vs. some of the slightly cheaper options. My friend was looking for a tent style topper for a Tacoma. Most are in the $13k range and are very basic. Toppers...

Fish Species That Defy the Fly

I drove 84 from La Grande to PDX the other day. Stopped at Lepage Park to check it out as a possible destination. Didn't look very canoe friendly. I talked to a guy who said they were fishing "the narrows" for catfish and camping at Albert Philippi Park. That sound intriguing to me. He also...
