The REAL short spey is back! They made an 8 weight!

I definitely would have picked up an 8wt back when, if they would have had them in the original lineup (like they should have). Fast forward to $900, no thank you very much.

Anybody using 2026 Simms Access boots yet? Still waiting for user opinions/reviews before pulling the trigger on these.

Anyone using Single Hand Spey Lines for bobber fishing?

Zero CP casting technique required. Any DH cast with appropriate head overhang using 20# - 30# mono running line works. When line comes tight under tension begin freespooling into the drift. Feathering running line after the cast is basically the same as float fishing. I understand a longer rod...

Anyone using Single Hand Spey Lines for bobber fishing?

Dilemma: There are a couple of outside bends on the Bulkley that I have become obsessed with. Namely for the inability to make long enough casts with a DH rod to skate the length. I have hooked up plenty in the two zones with super short leaders on the CP setup, due to the increased drift...

    Occupy Skagit, on steroids.

Hell, I see guys fishing off my backyard on the Green all the time, zero enforcement officers in sight. I quit calling in years ago, as my rods sit in the racks, aside from the meager 4 month open season.

    Spring Run Steel

If you want to call them spring steelhead there used to be some early, good sized and eager summer runs in May on the lower EFL.

SA Spey Lite lines work awesome on switch rods. Wish they made them up to 450 or 480 though.

Anyone ever swapped out a tip section from a different rod?

I've had a 10' gear rod butt section that's had a 9wt Rainshadow fly rod tip section on it for more than 20 years. The fish have never objected to the mis-match.

Wanted G Loomis Pro4X 6 wt switch rod

Searching for an 11' 6 wt Pro4X switch rod. I believe it's a 1326-4. They were only made, added to the existing line up, in 2014-2015. Saw one for sale on the old site back in 2018 but was late to the party. If anyone has one collecting dust I'm your buyer. Thanks. Joe
