The only fish I saw yesterday were the ones that the seal was chasing around me. I watched 3 fish almost beach them selves as tone swam behind me and the others tried to escape the seal up the beach.

Of the last 4 summers I have been up that way for Labor Day I think 2024 was the only one it was open.

My dad caught a couple nice ones on the crocodile and lost a couple big ones on the popper. For all of the 15lb maxima fans out there, I can tell you it does not like the coral heads 😂. I lost a few crocodiles to big fish and the reef.

Getting skunked has been pretty common for me this year 😂. I have had maybe one solid take on the fly this season. Some days with nothing and others where I saw fish follow, or had very soft bumps of the fly.

@Divad it looked like some sort of porpoise. I would not be the one to properly identify it. There were no markings on it that I saw, other than scrapes on the belly, but that could just be rubbing on the beach as it floated ashore.
