Supposed to see 97 here on the Madison, pretty hot for 6500 feet , plus windy ,and very low humidity . Wouldn't surprise me to see them put the Madison on hoot owl .

Hilariously overpriced used item listings around the internet

Unfortunately there are unsuspecting people that will buy them . I may have thought those life jackets were a good deal if I hadn't seen the exact ones at Walmart . I was needing to add a couple to my boat, although I didn't buy them from Walmart .

    Personal Pontoon/Raft on Car Top?

That's unfortunate . I tow a fifth wheel. I was able to tow a small trailer to Montana behind the fifth wheel for our annual summer stay ,then also having the trailer to transport the pontoon back ,and forth to the lakes up here . Solved a lot of issues for me , not having to take the boat...

Best Fly Threader And Knot Tying Tool For Visually Impaired?

I have gotten in the habit of having those clickits hanging around my neck , if fishing I have sunglasses with the bifocals as many do . I can usually tie on a fly in good lighting without the bifocals , but usually I will look down ,and use them . I am pretty fortunate actually having 20/20 at...

    Favorite Sage Fly Rod

2 pc 6 weight 9' XP is my favorite . Had a 5 weight VXP 9' 4 piece that was a close second , fished it a lot . Never was much of a popular rod ,not sure I ever seen anyone with one . Unfortunately broke it a couple years ago , one they don't fix , replaced it with a Sonic ,not a fan of that rod .

Very Memorable Experiences in your Life

The most memorable for me was a motorcycle accident on Chase Lane in Centerville, Ut in 1964 at the age of 17 . It nearly severed my right leg , they were able to save it when getting me in the operating room to amputate it . After looking at the injury , checking blood supply etc ,decided to...

    Another Two Fly Question

I have in the past tied off the bend of the hook , not a fan at all , nor off the eye . Neither one now . No matter what set up I am doing whether it is just nymph fishing in a river or indicator fishing , or trolling flies in a lake , I fish the upper fly off a tag . Both methods I fish a...

    Another Two Fly Question

I am trying to be aware of ,especially when the water is a little choppy , seeing that subtle take . We like what we call that chironomid chop ,that ripple on the water where it's giving that fly some movement .

    Another Two Fly Question

I too have used the two color scheme. I think I have three different sizes of those oros . I usually use that medium size one . Thats a thought leaving that indicator a bit loose , although I use straight floro . So far as said the depth I was fishing last year leaving it fixed worked okay ...

    Another Two Fly Question

Although not indicator junkie , I too switched to the oros last year ,no more slip indicators for me ,surprisingly the fish were still easy to land . Although most of my indicator fishing the water is usually never any deeper than 15'
