    It may be related to overall warmer temperatures, not the coldest temperatures. There may be complicated interactions between ticks and other aspects of local ecology that favor ticks as temperatures warm.

    Love this book. My first trout on a fly was a searun cutt. Early 80s in the Willapa River. I had read this book often prior to this.

    I read a book, "Fly Fishing" by Tom McNally, published in 1978 in seventh grade. It was in the city library. Read all the books they had and taught myself to cast and tie, which I do to this day.

    There are alternatives to binding up nutrients in the sediment. I took an engineering limnology course where we covered the oxygenation of sediments via low-pressure oxygen injection. Treatment of the sediments with alum or a similar substance works as long as the sediments are not disturbed...
