Viet Nam Veteran’s Day March 29

First time I saw my Dad cry was at the opening of the memorial in Sacramento. I remember him finding the names of too many friends. He was not alone in his grief. The day left lasting memories.

Need some clarification on the banana jinx

We take bananas on the boat... No issues. In fact im less hangry. So maybe even fewer issues because of em. I had heard it was a stop for sailors on the way home who were unlucky but could still sell bananas at port and cover some costs although not as lucrative as fish. Ymmv.

Affordable places you would actually want to live

For the record. I didn't choose my home based upon a map of Costco locations. Nor did anybody else I know. Nor would I recommend such things. But it sure is nice to have. ...and yes I am sure sequim of 60 yrs ago was a completely different animal, but so was every where else.

Affordable places you would actually want to live

Didn't read em all... Yet. But gotta say the Costco in Sequim adds so much convenience. Didn't make the town a shithole at all. In fact, folks drive from Forks and beyond to shop there and it anchors other nearby useful tenants. The home Depot is super nice too. The hospital, not so much but...

A new world record... my favorite driving band

I only wish that was my room filled with vinyl. I only have a few crates of treasures. But, i have been a fan of all music since a child and love learning from other freaks like me. Crazy interesting how adjacent one can be to history...and how much left there is to learn, even when you've...

    NFR Finally making the plunge!

I thought for sure this was a gag thread or a hilarious repost from 20xx? The best part of a phone at hand is being able to settle any argument with a Google search and then begin 4 more with the dubious findings.

Hilariously overpriced used item listings around the internet

I place an ad every year for "free leaves, you bag." I have a giant maple and we'll, that's a lot of leaves to rake. Every year I get a taker or three and a few emails from guys who think I'm crazy and lazy... The ad may belong with the rest of these.
