That used to be my boat. Bought it years ago, and sold it years ago. The seat was custom made by a friend of mine at work.

I couldn’t agree more! I’m shooting a 28” Beretta. It’s my duck gun using Boss Tom shot shells 2 3/4”in #9 with a Jebs headhunter choke. It’s freakin tight at 15 yards! But it will also crush one at 50 yards.

    First Steel

Way to go!. It’s such an awesome feeling when you know your swung fly is HUNTING! Enjoy the journey, it can be bittersweet. In the last bunch of years, I just enjoy being in the game. I don’t fish as hard as I used to. These days I enjoy tying flys for a trip and fish at my leisure. I feel like...

How did you end up in your career?

I chased girls and drank myself silly tell I was 23 years old. Then got a job in the Maritime industry on a Tugboat going to and from Alaska. Over the last 26 years it’s had its ups and downs, but I’m still there. #Tuglife😂

I needed some unweighted swing flys for fishing a Skagit. I like to run T3 - T8 with unweighted flys. I’ve solely been fishing a Scandi as of late, I’m thinking it’s time to switch it up. Anyway this is what I came up with. Not sure why my pictures post weird…

Aside from longer casts, what are the benefits of a 2-handed rod?

The main reason for spey over single handed rods is… #1. People driving by on the highway are not going to stop and watch you Euro Nymph, there going to stop and watch you make beautiful casts and walk through a run with a spey rod. #2. These same people are most likely not going to want your...

Let’s start a trout spey thread

It’s that time again! The swinging has been pretty good. The Yakima is the lowest I’ve ever seen it this time of year but there are some nice fish out there.
