I had a bunch of aluminum frames... now thanks to this 3D tech I have fully functional spare spools. Work like a charm!
The spool caps are even superior to the original all aluminum ones that often lock up. These are much easier to grab and turn.
Please forgive me if my question is too direct... I understand we do it because we can, but why would fly fishermen want to actually go fishing with this kind of reel?
Agree, the drag is pathetic, but there is no need for any drag in a trout reel. As the fly line holder they work as good as any other reel on the market.
My sun protection is something like this, but a bit tighter fit. And it stays on 99% of time I am fishing, regardless if it's sunny or cloudy or whatever. The absolute mimimum exposed skin is the idea. I used to rely heavily on the stuff in the tube... no more.
A question... a sun hoodie, sun gloves, long bill cap, sun gaiter, polarized wrap around sunglasses. No need to mess with any chemical sunblock? No need to re-apply anything, right?
Gotcha! I was just thinking if that stuff also helps with the squirrel over-population that's two-for-one in my book. Those buggers have already decimated my peaches this season, I am really ready to go medieval on them.
I think that's the idea that they love it. Expensive, yes, but how effective is the question. Several big cities are considering or already using this approach to fight infestations. So, I guess, we'll see.
Has anyone tried cottonseed oil bait for rat control? It's supposed to act as a natural contraceptive. The commercially available Evolve product uses the cottonseed oil as the main ingredient. I was just thinking of mixing DIY bait chunks.
