@Islander - I use @Matt B's technique; my pee can is a bailing pitcher. I do carry a large automotive sponge that I wet (from the lake, no peeing on it) so I can mop up any mud, sand or grit that gets into the footwell. Saves wear and tear on fly lines.

Steve - @Starman77 is the one who named that certain secret lake "SL#7" - I just follow his lead and his rules. Mr. Lockhart has gifted the public with this particular plunge pool's "coordinates" ;-).

I'm passing this reel off as a line holder; the drag - when you hook a large fish that pulls line quickly off the reel, is inconsistent which repeatedly loads and then unloads the rod. I took the reel apart, cleaned and relubricated it but didn't fix the issue. Maybe Orvis has a fix? The reel...

Several years in a row, about 2:30 in the afternoon, the mayflies on Pat Lake would start coming off. Between the excitement of trout sucking emergers (and our emerger patterns), there were the sounds of nighthawks diving and snatching callibaetis. Great pics!
