    High Lakes

Pretty photos @Gary Knowels I was just east of you over the ridge attempting to get to a lake but ran out of time to safely make it. Hopefully before summer ends!

    Patagonia Forra Wading Boots

I didn't try them without studs so I can't comment solely on the rubber but I have slipped a few times with studs. They seem to wear quickly but that seems pretty normal in comparison to the Orvis Ultralight. The design on the bottom is kind of odd as well in regards to placement.

    Patagonia Forra Wading Boots

I was quite excited when I purchased these boots last year with how incredibly light they were, made in Italy (usually an indicator of quality in the footwear industry), and the boots having non corrosive lacing components. I put the boots on the back burner for quite a bit because I have still...

    Paternity Leave

Oh yeah we went last year and again this year because it’s so cool. We did the tour this time (worth it) which we couldn’t do last time

    Paternity Leave

Two days back working after my 2nd month off for paternity leave and now reflecting on the month while I should be working. I took of January when my daughter was born but we stayed home obviously. My wife's brother and sister both recently moved to Durango, Colorado within the past 3 years, in...

Strange, weird or odd or whatever beach finds thread….

I saw the guy working on it later in the day, sidewalk tunes and all. I’m surprised he attempted to take it out it in the first place but then again not really.

    Vibram/spikes

Don’t have Korkers but I have some Patagonia boots with studs and they are decent in terms of grip but no where near as good as the felts with studs. Runner up to felt IMO in terms of grip are the aluminum bars.

    Badger fishing

I get the frustration with WDFW and the state of our fisheries in general but to not lead by example when there are openings is pretty ironic.

1st World Old Man Problem - Tendonitis

Another vote for the Theraband flexbar, it really does work if you stick to it and are diligent. Additionally, try increasing your grip strength if you can. Farmers walks are what I prefer.

    Sky not until Nov 1st.

Yeah absolutely. Like @Matt B, I’ve left comments the last two years but I’m going to try and show up in person if I can or virtually at least if that’s an option.

    Sky not until Nov 1st.

The head bio of our district says that hardly anyone shows up or voices their opinion at NOF… He was willing to work for anglers on getting more openings in the future if he could prove that there were no Chinook encounters but there’s no way to do that as of now with how they have things set up...

    Sky not until Nov 1st.

I heard from a bio who said that all the S rivers are at risk of being shut down because they are pressured to cut $10,000,000 of funding so creel checkers are getting furloughed.

    Yakima River

Agreed @holtad, which is another reason why I personally stop fishing it after the salmon fly hatch and don't again until the fall. Fall is tough though with so many other options! Really the best time to be a sportsman.

The continuing adventures of the Black Pennell

I also experienced the effectiveness of the Black Pennell recently. I got into tying classic steelhead flies this winter and these wet fly patterns fit in nicely with my new obsession. I'll have to tie up a few of the Hardy's Favourite. Looks like a nice lake!

    Deer Creek summer steelhead

Curt, I should have said hello but wasn't sure if that was you or not. I was a visitor in the back and came just for the presentation. I also thought it was pretty remarkable that from 2022-2025 during their seines and snorkel surveys, no hatchery or unmarked fish were ever encountered. I think...
