Looked into OFC but because of my local most spots are too far plus the dues are a deal breaker.

    Between snow showers

I just received my new Scott Wave 7wt today. In between snow showers I got out and lawn cast it. Man this rod is sweet. Fits my style and I'm absolutely accurate 40-50 feet. If folks are looking for a nice flats rod that doesn't cost $1000+ you should try this.

    Pay to play lakes??

Hello, This year I would like to visit some "private" water pay to play. Anyone like a spot they have gone to? I'M interested on places that did not hold up to the hype as well. Thanks for any reply.

What would be a good bonefish setup?

A Steelhead at full flight plus river current will run 10-12 mph. a Bonefish will run 25-28 mph for 50+ yrds than a another 50= yrds in the other direction at the same speed. You hope to understand the dynamics and thrill of the difference. What fun!

What would be a good bonefish setup?

Cant help but chuckle..."Anything else I should think about or will need for Bone fishing" Sorry to say you have better be prepared for a life changing fishing experience. A good and fun one Seriously! If you are a "fresh water" angler. Unless you dont care about a challenge ie. casting in...

What would be a good bonefish setup?

Your thought of a Danielsson reel IS the best choice for your reel. Great value and great service for reel you will not regret....I have three. I have Scott rods one 7 and a 9 Wt for me I like the Scott because it fits my casting style. In some ways that is an issue because rod tapers...

So after reviewing a fair amount of threads here as well as elsewhere it appears that perch could be a year round fishery. am I reading that correctly? I have a chance to stay in Lincoln City soon and would love a chance to fish

    Surf Perch.

I know down in Winchester Bay they are fished by folks anchored in boats. I think June/July. I saw a pretty interesting fly pattern "Mole Crab". Looks like fun. Did you have a fly you liked?

    Surf Perch.

Thanks for the reply. I think you mentioning color is a good observation. I have used Shrimp patterns that seem to be more effective when an orange "beard" is added flats fishing. Spring seams to be the best time is that correct? I've read that some locations are barren of fish except into...
