    Introducing MyFlyVise.com - BETA Phase

I added one as well. Did not try and use the functionality to push it from PWFF because I may have posted it in this thread before and the stuff I am tying now (olive buggers for lake fishing) is not super exciting. One suggestion. Is it possible to allow URL’s to be posted in the tying...

    Chicken throwing season

Me too. I was standing on the swim deck of my boat to give everyone as much room as possible when my crankbait snagged him. Had to gingerly step back in the boat so he did not pull me overboard…ha. For a bit we thought it might be a big musky but unfortunately no. We did have a certified eat by...

    Chicken throwing season

At least another 27 boats on that lake Sunday too! Made for ssslllooowww fishing. We were targeting bass but with fly and gear. There were 2 other members on boat (@Kfish and @mtskibum16) so wanted to limit the number of big barbed clousers flying around at any given time. One on the fly (small...

    Doorbell Cameras

I have SimpliSafe wired doorbell and wireless cameras on my property. I have not found much practical use for them yet outside of randomly scaring my wife remotely by talking to her as she mucks around in the yard or driveway and sets off a notification for me. Good to know we have them if...

    What you watching. 😆

The season 2 cliffhanger was good. That’ll probably bring me back for 3.

    What you watching. 😆

I thought it was good but not at the level of the others you listed. Though not the reason I do not put it with that list (more story related), setting something in Seattle and shooting it elsewhere was a nitpick for me. Don’t care how many aerial shots of the Space Needle you show! Edit: one...

    First bass 2026

My “bass boat” is a 17 foot Boston Whaler, my frameless pontoon, or tube. Good enough for the 6-10 times a year I target bass. Today we were in Lou’s boat though, which is a much more unique vessel than the ones I own. I’ll let him describe.

    First bass 2026

Definitely not on fire yet but enough action to make it worth the trip. Some bass and a solid crappie as well. Two of the bass put very respectable bends in the 7 weight.

    Puget Sound

I did not contribute much today. Three solidly hooked fish across the salt and the lake and one landed fish. A couple pods were super picky while another we doubled up on our first cast into them (I lost mine). It was t-shirt weather by noon… that’s something 😀!

Stink bug in the car yesterday

You live in western WA and needed AI to identify a stinkbug? Before you waste another 20 gallons of water, the wet stuff falling from the sky in winter around here is rain…

    March Madness '26

Has any great been a good person. Not a common trait. Geno is a prick no doubt. His players love him and you cannot argue the results. Oh, and by the way. UConn men in the championship game Monday!! Was not expecting it but I’ll take it. It is truly amazing what that school has been able to...

    Non-Fly 2026 Blackmouth

Got out today with @Kfish. Found a fish or two. Most in the nearly to barely legal range (measured). No fish were taken home. Did not feel like breaking down a 23 inch fish so they all swam free. Nice change of pace getting the boat out on 10 after 5-6 months down south chasing SRC though.

    C-C-Cold feet: Heated socks recommendations?

I’ve never found a better solution than waiting it out. Eventually, the fingers and toes go from numb to fine as the body adjust blood flow to the appropriate appendages and all is centered again. I get concerned when the core gets cold to the point I am shivering uncontrollably. If I don’t...

    CDA Westslope Cutthroat

One of my points of reference as well but I have not had even one of those take me into backing that I recall. Regardless great fish and sorry @Stonedfish for the thread drift. Cool knowing those fish are out there and would be great to know if folks are targeting with fly rods. Maybe during...

    CDA Westslope Cutthroat

It made me question my decision to run 50+ offshore for albacore and pay that much $$ when I can get 150 yard runs from big lake westslopes :).

    CDA Westslope Cutthroat

Nice fish. Did I read that right though.1st run took out 150 yards of line? A 27 inch trout? Am I misunderstanding or missing something?

Oops… @Evan B or @Josh. Any chance you can move my post above to the Puget Sound thread?

    NOF 2026

Another solid morning on the Sound. Fished with @Kfish out of my boat. I think I snuck into double digit territory based on the pics I took but it could have easily been more. We had lots of shots but the amount of bait in the water and some finicky SRC and rezzies led to some frustrating...

    Trolling motors with spot lock

As @Kfish mentioned, I’ve also installed a terrova 24v 80lb thrust bow mount to my 17 ft Boston Whaler. It’s truly a game changer depending on the type of fishing you’re doing. For SRC, it’s made me use a boat pretty much every time out versus 4-5 times a year. I fish for SRC all winter and most...
