    The good boat deal thread

Maybe, my Alpacka Caribou is 4.75 lbs. The webiste says the self bailer is 4.9 lbs. Weight capacity is roughly the same. They may have just gone way overboard on materials. Either way, it's probably a kick ass inflatable kayak - especially for that price.

Up at the crack: fishing day breakfasts?

Have you tried the uncooked tortillas? Costco usually has them, and I've seen them at safeway and QFC now. Tortilla land is the brand I've been seeing (in the refrigerated section). They don't have all the extra stuff in them that allows the cooked ones to last so long, but they only take a...

Up at the crack: fishing day breakfasts?

For similar reasons to what @jasmillo cited, I don't do much. I really don't like waking up the family, and they're light sleepers (unlike me). My goal is usually to just get something in my stomach that kick starts the day. My current go to is a banana, hand full of cashews and a glass of...

    The good boat deal thread

Those are crazy good deals. That packraft looks really nice, but man, 22 lbs. is heavy for a "packraft".

    Simms Disappointment

TLDR - does enshitification end with a new "good" investor buying the now defunct brand down the road and returning it to glory? Or....do these companies that get bought end up dying off most offen?

    AI and Flyfishing

Thats definitely it, Zak almost got it. He was VERY close. So thats a very popular lake, with the entire shore and skyline visible, taken from a very popular vantage point. Now start changing those parameters up and you'll very quickly start getting no results. Or even worse, confident...

    AI and Flyfishing

God speed... PS, this is a test. Its a well known lake. But even with almost the entire lake and the skyline in view, id bet no AI gets it.

    AI and Flyfishing

I've tried it all... It's not there yet. Trust me. When it is there, you'll see a report from me with 30"+ cutts from a high alpine lake. That's when you'll know it works.

    AI and Flyfishing

I have spent an ungodly number of hours trying to do get AI to match up location to a photo - it's not there yet. Maybe someday, but it's currently out of it's range of capabilities. It can look up reports on forums, including this one - so if you name a place, it becomes a part of the AI...
