You can tell by the fight. Pilot peak fish will take you into your backing and give you line burn on ur hand. Summit fish are much more docile.

    Most Popular Fly Rod Weights

First fly rod I ever used was my dad’s old Fenwick FF70-4…..it’s 4 piece 5wt. Used to slay with it on the Powder river below Thief valley. He has since given it to me. Pretty sweet rod actually.

The Mountain Whitefish, aka Short Fin Grayling thread

I like simplicity. I’m betting 2 to 1 sugar to salt. I also like the idea of the canning process softening the bones. Smoking to can, you wanna go about an hour. The fish should’nt be completely smoked. The smokiness will amplify during the canning process. The final product will be better...

The Mountain Whitefish, aka Short Fin Grayling thread

Ahhh the whitey shake. It’s almost a spastic convulsion. I can tell instantly if I have a whitey or redside, typically.

    Most Popular Fly Rod Weights

I think a 10’ 4 wt is a do it all rod for most trout streams. For dries on a river I’ll take a 9’ 4wt if it’s not windy. Wind I’ll go up to 9’ 5wt I like a 9’ 6wt for chuckin meat.

NFR Alcohol going out of style

NA beers are getting better…..but they are definitely not as good as the real thing. I looooove good beer. I’m hoping some day the talented brewers can make an NA that tastes exactly like the real thing. Whoever figures that out will be a wealthy man/woman!

NFR Alcohol going out of style

Just like any anything, too much weed is bad for you. I’ve known several people who have pretty much fried their brains on weed. Side note, I haven’t had a beer in a few days and I’m feeling pretty rested. I’m going to keep it going for a while.

NFR Alcohol going out of style

As someone who has been wanting/needing to cut back, this is a very encouraging thread. My sleep, and energy are sooo much better when I don’t drink. Also, getting up to pee at night. Part of my challenge is a lot of what I do, alcohol is part of it. And it’s hard for me to be where people...

NFR Alcohol going out of style

imo, rogue charged too much for their beer, and to be honest, most of their offerings weren’t very good anyway. They were living off dead guy merch.
