    Florida advice

Years ago(many years ago actually), the submarine I was stationed on docked a couple of times at Port Canaveral. I fished both early mornings and late evenings off the pier and caught a variety of species each time on smallish white streamers. Jacks, pompano, sheepshead, small bluefish and some...

    What's in your vise?

    Dyed some hair…

and it went surprisingly well. Ran out of orange body hair needed for a project , so I found some light elk, some bleached deer and some deer belly hair in a stash I had gotten from a taxidermist. This was cheap, easy and somewhat fun. It does take a bit of time though. I had previously dyed...

    Lake trout and walleye

It is my opinion based on a couple of thousand lake trout on Lake Superior, Yellowstone lake, Palisades Reservoir in Idaho. and inland MN lakes that lake trout are not deep water fish by nature. They have a preferred temperature range of about 45-54 degrees F and a combination of these...

    NFR Got any mammal pictures

Some different Otters off the Bateman Island Causeway in the snow. There were a family of five hunting along the edge of the ice and even popping up through the rotten ice along the shoreline with a loud bang.

    What's in your vise?

They are called bug collars. I bought them years ago, but I think that Firehole sells them now. They are brass- a little weight and a hotspot.
