    Do the Boo

I was also able to “do the boo” too this weekend. Only a couple small browns were interested with what I had to offer but it was a wonderful day. I have been interested in finding a good deal on a sharpes and good to know that the cortlands are built by sharpes and impregnated.

    Starlink User Opinions

We use the portable version for work in the mountains where there is no cell signal. Works very well and easy to use. For camping it is what I’m trying to get away from.

    Bamboo and Streamers

As a fairly newer user of bamboo rods I was wondering what other fans of streamer fishing are using as far as sinking lines and flies. Actually really interested in what classic style streamers, less bulk, are catching trout for people. @Dave Westburg I have been using a Teeny 130gr line on a...

Is hunting to open in National Parks?

“unnecessary regulatory or administrative barriers” to hunting and fishing and justify regulations they want to keep in place. Lots of regulatory and administrative barriers that should have to be justified in my opinion.

    Campground Closures

I grew up in wa finding my trails by word of mouth and uses maps. There were great spots along the ronde and little known alpine lakes in western Washington. I moved out of state and when I visited back I found a fee I had to pay for a parking pass and a lot of these not so well known spots...

    Russ Peak

I had a 7' 4wt Russ Peak Blank built out by Burkheimer and it was a wonderful rod to cast and fish. I sold it because I got so much for it at the time. One of the rods I wish I didn't sell.

    Learning to Row Rivers

I learned how to row at a young age. I never had really rowed a river though until recently. I picked up a rather small drift boat and started with smaller rivers or river sections. I have learned the hard ways a things as far as choosing which way to go when the river splits and put some...

YOLO! - FlyBillz' First Bamboo Build

I was fortunate enough to visit Glen Bracket at Sweetgrass rods this summer. What a great guy who took the time to come down to his shop and walk me and my better half through all the steps they take to create a bamboo blank. I forget the exact words he used but he described their rods as...

    Classic reels

44 Magnum 320gr hard cast. They have been the load I have carried in a S&W 629 3" barrel for years for Bear and Moose protection. Carried it in Alaska, Montana and eastern Idaho. I have been glad to have it with me on occasion but thankfully I have never had to use it.

    a reel that isn't a reel?

 Randomly found this. Seems like the Tenkara idea might be better at this point. Seems as though it doesn't need to spin to get quite a price tag...

    Classic reels

I unloaded at my tying desk after returning from a Montana fishing trip. Still sitting there. For Bear if needed. I should probably put them away.
