Fished from 5am-7pm, with an hour break in between. Went 3/5 on coho and broke off what I’m assuming was a nice king, given the brute force of the eat, tug, speed, and size when it jumped after popping my leader while I was strip setting. Only kept one coho as I was looking for something better...

I usually find several in the yard each year. My cats love to hunt them down and “play” with them. I’m sure the hissing sound they make is part of the entertainment.

VMP, just curious, are you harvesting herring for bait or for eating?

I do remember your tomato growing posts on the old site and was secretly hoping you’d chime in for advice. Not that there aren’t other great tomato growers around here but it seems like you know a thing or two. If Skip was still with us I’d take his advice as well.
