    NFR Need vehicle opinions.

I don’t have rush hour traffic to contend with, do gauge my visits in town consistently getting 30. On the highway, backroads, around 60 I’ve gotten 36. Quite happy compared to a truck getting max 16 same manner.

    NFR Need vehicle opinions.

I went through similar, but having always owned pickups. I ended up with a Forester, my first Subaru, after my wife bought the Outback I initially looked at. The jump in mileage of almost 2 1/2 times the truck, offsets somewhat the cost. Like mentioned, read various reports of all models for the...

Advice for Fernie BC area "classified waters"

CDA river will be to low to float. St Joe would be ok still, though it will be dropping still, warming where typical floats are. I’ve never floated Clearwater.

    Outcast boats

I had that problem several years ago. Go to the website of a dealer, typically in stock. I bought my Clearwater raft from Gorge Flyshop, same price as on Outcast website

    Personal Pontoon/Raft on Car Top?

You should check the manufacturer weight capacity. A typical fiberglass one can hold over 100 pounds. I’ve seen several with bicycle mounts in them. One reason I bought the Clearwater raft is it only weighs 35 pounds without the bags/gear. My rollup tonneau cover had a capacity of I think 40...

    Personal Pontoon/Raft on Car Top?

No, it’s not a problem of to few boats, that’s like saying I need more than 3 fly rods. I have all the gear you talk of, but a pontoon is different from a floored raft on a rooftop. I prefer the raft to the pontoon or pram I had before.

    Personal Pontoon/Raft on Car Top?

Space, time. I just figured out the leaf blower hack, adapters for them. I already have the K pumps. And of course a 12 bolt slow ass pump, which is why for 4 years it’s stayed inflated and hauled in truck. it goes back to what DerekWhipple said in the beginning, bow and stern both have fabric...

    Personal Pontoon/Raft on Car Top?

I think a pontoon might go better because of streamline. Have you tried the Commander or quick to inflate?

    Personal Pontoon/Raft on Car Top?

Anyone consistently do so at freeway speeds? Looking at my OC Clearwater on a Subaru Forester. For once I’m uncertain.
