Yesterday I ran out of tag end and couldn't change my point fly. I cut off the point fly and cut the dropper line at the knot. I then took the dropper line with the fly still attached and tied a new double surgeons with it. New point fly was on and fishing in about 3 minutes.

.... I didn't even know they were spelled differently, and wouldn't have known what a "yoke" meant here anyhow! However now that I do, I use a yoke system!

Caught this little guy trying to swing spoons for sockeye. As far as i can tell, this is neither a sockeye nor an Atlantic salmon. Back was bright green, and not a single spot on it.

On my stinger steelhead flies I've taken to running my line through junction tubing. Even a relatively short section of it (half the length of the line) has kept my flies from fouling. Might be of use here?
