    Getting Back to My Roots

Great story. Only got started hunting a few years ago and have only ever seen bucks driving back from a failed armed camping trip. This year got cancelled because I moved to WA from OR a few months before hunting season and couldn't burn the vacation. Maybe next year I'll get the opportunity to...

SFR Legit PNW Hurricane on the way

Hopefully the wind will knock over the one tree thats holding up two other trees in my back acreage that I got quoted $4k to get taken out, it would be great if everything else stayed up though.

Now that’s an interesting light raft option—NRS Approach 120

I have a buddy who has the flycraft stealth 2.0 which is pretty similar to this size wise. It feel sturdy enough, but definitely not the same as a full sized raft with frame. For transporting he deflates it some and shoves it into the bed of his Jeep Gladiator, he uses a bed extender to help...

    Pass lake algae

I've never actually gone down to the ramp to see what the sign says, but the ramp is blocked with cones and caution tape.

Open Seat & Guide Sharing Forum?

I think a place to try and sync up would be great. I'd certainly like to try and hop on more guided trips to both get some rivers in and meet up with folks.

First Confirmed Case of Chronic Wasting Disease in Washington State - Spokane County

I had a neighbor die of spongiform encephalitis when I was in high school in the 90s. The guy went from perfectly normal to screaming and threatening his wife to dead in the hospital in something like a week's time. The best guess the doctors had is that he had gotten it from eating beef in the...

What's Your Favorite Feature of Your Fishing Kayak?

Thought about this too, mostly I'm worried that I wouldn't have the hands free to manage the yak as it goes up and over the bed extender. One thing I will say is that I don't like the boondoxe TBone. A buddy of mine has one he uses with his PA12, I don't like the lack of arms on the side. I...

What's Your Favorite Feature of Your Fishing Kayak?

Yeah, to help with the loading/unloading I'm going to rig up some sort of removable winch system for my truck bed, its actually a little easier than one would expect with a hitch extension since it lets you get between the bed and the extension to act as a fulcrum to pull the boat over. Is the...

What's Your Favorite Feature of Your Fishing Kayak?

I have a Hobie PA 14 360. I'd say all my favorite things about it and my least favorite things come from the same thing. Its a big Kayak. Because its big its super stable. Picking up crab pots? No biggie. Kneeling to take a piss in the salt? Pretty stable there too. Whale watching boat zooms by...

    Portland-area - where to practice?

It does sound like the pond is going away though: https://www.portland.gov/parks/westmoreland-park#toc-restoration-project-bringing-salmon-back-to-crystal-springs-creek They say duck pond but I think thats the casting pond as there aren't any other ponds in that park that I'm aware of.

    Portland-area - where to practice?

For summer run your best option is probably the Clack, there was some decent water around Riverside Park and I think more around some of the parks upstream. The Sandy is also great to swing.
