Is it just me but checking the planting chart it seems they are stocking more fry this year ?

Too many to name. Would like access to a beach not far away but i am not tribal. My wife & inlaws are but Montana tribal. Do need to check my local beach for chum fry as the return numbers have gotten better the last couple of years.

Maybe try the Outbound short in the appropriate line weight ? I bought another OBS for tropical use in a certain place because of much wind in the fall. Also can use this line on a light switch/spey rod for beach use around here.

I use a 330 scout on my echo 4wt. Works fine. Also a OPST 300 commando. Want to get an 330 integrated line this year.

Have an Echo 4 weight. Much more of a light steel/salmon or large trout rod. It handles salmon up to 9-10 lbs. bead head flys to light intruders or heavy stone flys. If I wanted to strictly go for trout the 2-3 weight rods would be my choice. 2 cents.

Was there an official announcement about opening the river ? Only thing I remember seeing was an article in Northwest Sportsman magazine. Don’t remember seeing anything from WDFW ?

Look up Frodinflys. Some instructional stuff there plus you could buy some of the products they have. Also watch Mikeal Frodin videos on YouTube and see some of the water he fishes over there ( Sweden, Norway). Pretty fast water for salmon in early season with no problem getting his tube down...
